Steve keeps his arm around Orpheus until they're well into the apartment. "Keep me company in the kitchen?" he says, sliding his fingers just above the waistband of Orpheus's jeans.

Steve strokes Opheus's hair, gazing at him tenderly.

"D'you wanna eat or just go to bed?" he murmurs.

He nuzzles Steve's thigh a moment before looking up at him. "We should eat," he says, voice rough.

Steve bends, holding Orpheus's face, and murmurs, "Okay," as he kisses him.

Orpheus kisses him slowly, curling a hand around the back of Steve's neck and slowly standing, forehead pressed to Steve's.

"I love you," he whispers. "Nothing in my life has ever been permanent, but love...never ceases to be a miracle, divinity..."

"I love you too," Steve whispers, keeping their foreheads pressed together. "I love you so, so, so much, sweetheart."

He'd hitch up his pants, but that would require letting go of Orpheus and he is reluctant to do that.

Orpheus kisses him again, slow and easy. Eventually he pulls back a little, tugging Steve's pants up for him. "Did I ruin dinner?"

"Never." He glances at the stove. "I don't think the meat got too badly burned..."

"Good." He smiles, carefully tucking Steve's dick back into his shorts and doing up his pants again.

Steve's body does a little shiver to settle into his clothes again.

"Okay. Where was I?" He runs his hands through his hair.

"Making sure the steak didn't burn?" Orpheus offers, finally pulling away to pull out a couple glasses and pour the wine.

"Yeah...and now they need to finish cooking." He moves the pan back onto the burner.

With a faint smile, Orpheus moves back to his place on the counter, glass of wine in hand.

"Sometimes I feel like you've sucked out my brain through my cock," Steve says conversationally.

He laughs softly. "Good. That means I'm doing it right."

"I can hardly wait to hear what you want me to do to you later."

"You'll have to give me time to think about it."

"You've got until after we eat." He gives Orpheus his most angelic smile.

"I'll try to come up with something good, then," he says, smiling in response.

Steve grins even more widely and then turns back to the stove.

"Okay," he says after a moment or two, "these are cooked." He gets plates to put their dinners together.

Orpheus sips his wine and slides off the counter. "What can I do?"

"Ahh--find the bleu cheese and the balsamic dressing?" He got distracted while he was prepping the vegetables, but it's quick work to finish them.

"I can do that."

He moves to the fridge to find them.

Steve tosses the greens and strawberries together and divides them onto the plates.

Orpheus rummages around a while before finding what he's looking for and then brings them out, handing them over.

Steve gives him a kiss, and then crumbles the cheese over the salad and adds the slices of steak. "I'll let you do your own dressing." He gives Orpheus a plate, takes his own, and goes to the table.
