OOM: Orpheus, NYC

Now that Steve has a more solid vision of the place he'll build with Orpheus, the utilitarian apartment feels even less like home. He gives the plain walls an impatient look as he and Orpheus walk through to the bedroom.

"I'm itching to get started with renovating," he complains, "and we haven't even found the right location yet."

Orpheus watches his face intently. "Talk to me?" he murmurs.

"You're beautiful," Steve says softly. "It's not so easy to talk and draw at the same time."

"You don't have to say anything substantial," Orpheus says. "I just want to hear your voice. Recite a poem or something. Tell a story."

"Once upon a time," Steve says, but trails off as he draws.

Orpheus laughs softly. "Say my name, then," he pleads quietly. "Anything, my love. Your voice is...perfect. Perfect to my ears."

"Orpheus," Steve whispers. "Orpheus. Orpheus."

Orpheus smiles, his eyes closing as he loses himself in the sound of Steve's voice. "Perfect," he whispers.

Steve smiles at him.

He softly starts to hum the song they danced to at the bar.

Orpheus keeps his eyes closed, still smiling.

Steve finally puts down his pencil and stretches out his back. "I'm done, honey."

Orpheus slowly blinks his eyes open, smiling, and reaches out a hand to Steve. "Come here, lovely."

Steve puts the sketchbook aside and moves to lie close to Orpheus. He kisses Orpheus sweetly.

Orpheus curls an arm around him, returning the kiss happily.

"Are we done with the champagne, my love?"

"I'm done with it," Steve murmurs, kissing him back.

"Good," Orpheus whispers, reaching over Steve to set the bottle aside.

Steve nuzzles against his neck.

Orpheus tilts his head to the side, fingers tangling in Steve's hair.

Steve rubs Orpheus's neck with the tip of his nose.

"Tell me what you want," he whispers into Orpheus's ear.

Orpheus' fingers slide down the back of Steve's neck. "I want you to ride me, lovely."

Steve shivers and nods. "I want that."

"Come on, then," Orpheus murmurs, his hand sliding down to squeeze Steve's ass.

Steve arches to him, and then hastily undoes his trousers and pushes them off.

"Gods, you are beautiful," Orpheus murmurs, sliding a hand down Steve's chest.

"Thank you, sweetheart," Steve answers, his eyes closing.

Orpheus curls his hand around the back of Steve's neck, pulling him in for a slow kiss.
