After this conversation with Orpheus, Steve figured it was only a matter of time before he'd have a chance to actually tell people. And so it's only a few days later when he's in another TV studio, getting ready to go on camera.

The big difference is that for the first time, Orpheus is with him. It's hard to keep his eyes off him, and the makeup artist has to remind him once or twice, "Chin up, please, Captain."

Orpheus was hardly expecting them to, but he hasn't been a public figure for very long. He slides an arm around Steve's waist when they reach the elevator.

Steve rubs his back and kisses his hair as they ride up to their floor.

When they reach the floor, Orpheus grins at Steve, taking his hand to tug him to their room.

Steve laughs. "Do you want to get me alone, honey?"

Orpheus' grin widens. "In a day or so a good chunk of the men in this country and most of the women are going to be horribly, horribly jealous of me. I want to give them a reason to be."

"Should I take off my clothes?" He drops his jacket.

"That would be a good start," Orpheus murmurs, turning to slide a hand down Steve's chest.

Steve grins and steps back to yank off his shirt.

Orpheus smirks and toes off his shoes, moving to the bed and taking a seat. "Come here, lovely."

Steve moves to the bed and stands between Orpheus's feet. "Yes, my love?"

Orpheus curls his hands around Steve's hips, leaning in to press a kiss to his belly. "I am the luckiest man in this world, I believe."

Steve strokes Orpheus's hair. "You and me both, darlin'."

Orpheus smiles up at him and then licks a stripe up his belly.

Steve bends and kisses his hair.

"I love your body," Orpheus murmurs, kissing his way up Steve's stomach. "But I love your heart more than anything."

Steve traces Orpheus's ear. "You're so sweet, music man."

Orpheus rests his chin against Steve's chest, smiling up at him. "No, you are. Today you opened yourself up to the world so that others would not have to suffer."

"I don't know if it'll actually help anyone," Steve says quietly. "I only hope it will."

"It will," Orpheus says confidently. He feels it, in the way he sometimes gets flashes of people's futures. "You're a symbol, and today you became a symbol of hope to people who desperately need it."

Steve smiles and kisses his mouth, pushing Orpheus slowly onto his back as he does. "I love how you love me, sweetheart."

Orpheus settles his hands on Steve's hips, pulling him along with as he lays back. "I love how I love you too, lovely."

"That sounded a lot less egotistical in my head."

"It didn't sound egotistical at all," he murmurs, leaning up to kiss him again.

Steve laughs as he kisses him back. "Okay, then."

Orpheus' hands run over Steve's back as they kiss, fingers tracing along his spine.
