After this conversation with Orpheus, Steve figured it was only a matter of time before he'd have a chance to actually tell people. And so it's only a few days later when he's in another TV studio, getting ready to go on camera.

The big difference is that for the first time, Orpheus is with him. It's hard to keep his eyes off him, and the makeup artist has to remind him once or twice, "Chin up, please, Captain."

"Yes, honey, yes," Steve groans with him, his body shaking as he comes.

Orpheus comes long and hard, and when he's spent, he pants beneath Steve, gasping as he catches his breath.

Steve collapses onto him, breathing hard.

"I love you," he whispers and kisses Orpheus's shoulder.

"I love you," Orpheus murmurs, his legs slowly falling from around Steve's waist.

[ooc: Bedtime.]

Steve rolls off him, spent, limbs loose.

[ooc: Good night!]

Orpheus smiles and turns his head to look at Steve, too relaxed to move more than that.

[ooc: Going to be doing some reading/writing today, so may not get many tags in.]

Steve smiles back and touches his cheek.

"Wanna skip surfing?"

[ooc: Kaykay.]

Orpheus lays his hand over Steve's.

"Kind of feel like I'm surfing now..."

Steve chuckles fondly and moves closer. He whispers to Orpheus as he strokes along his cheekbone, "The waves are curling under you, carrying you like faithful servants, bearing you slowly to shore."

Orpheus smiles, closing his eyes to listen.

Steve smiles too. He says softly, "Can you hear it, honey? The soft hiss of waves on sand, the call of seagulls? Can you feel the tug of the tide on your skin?"

"Mmm, 'ts nice, lovely," he murmurs.

Steve strokes down his neck, fingertips feather-soft.

"And when you lie on the sand," he whispers, "gently shaded from the sun, the air is sweet in your lungs, and the sound of waves lulls you to sleep."
