Steve wanted someplace warm, so Orpheus delivered Australia. Steve considered himself a fairly seasoned traveler, since he'd been to one end of the States to the other and seen as much of Europe as a man could in wartime--but Australia is like no place else. Ancient and mysterious while open and friendly, starkly beautiful in some places and overflowing with nature in others.

Best of all, there's no shortage of warmth.

Steve has acquired a decent tan on his pale Irish skin, a basic understanding of the Australian accent, and a reputation among other tourists of always winning the drinking contests.

Orpheus hums softly from time to time.

"Wish I'd brought a blanket," Steve murmurs.

"Are you getting cold?" Orpheus asks.

"A little."

He kisses Orpheus's ear and murmurs, "We could lie on it... or under it..."

Orpheus smirks and lets his hand fall to Steve's thigh. "Mmhm..."

Steve strokes Orpheus's chest. "We should head back to the room soon anyway, unless there's something else you want to do first."

"No, we can go back," Orpheus murmurs.

Steve nods and lets Orpheus go.

Orpheus pulls himself to his feet and offers Steve a hand up.

Steve takes it and rises, and then kisses Orpheus, holding his face.

Orpheus kisses him back, arms sliding around Steve's waist.

Steve can do that.

Orpheus is perfectly fine with that as well. He slides a hand up Steve's broad back slowly.

Steve kisses along his jaw.

Orpheus smiles. "We should get back," he murmurs.

"Yeah..." Steve pulls himself away reluctantly.

"And then you can do whatever you want to me," Orpheus offers.

Steve bites his lip, then kisses Orpheus and takes his hand. "Anything?"

Orpheus arches an eyebrow but says, "Yes?"

Steve takes his other hand.

"Including," he says softly, "putting our arms around each other and moving to music?"

Orpheus swallows.

"I said I'd try, didn't I?"

Steve nods slowly. "Just in our room," he say, pulling Orpheus back up the dunes to the path to their hotel. "Just the two of us."

Orpheus nods as well, trying to stay relaxed.

Steve kisses him many more times as they walk.

Orpheus returns them easily.
