OOM: Orpheus

Seems like it's going to be one of those nights--the kind of night when Steve can't get Orpheus alone with him fast enough, can't kiss him passionately enough, can't get his hands on enough of Orpheus's skin.

"I know exactly how I want you tonight," Steve says as he pushes Orpheus through the doorway.

The caresses make Steve purr.

Orpheus pulls back a little eventually, leaning his forehead against Steve's. "I want to keep you always," he whispers.

"I know you do," Steve whispers. "I'll let you."

Orpheus lets out a slow breath, kissing Steve softly. "Thank you, my love."

Steve quietly laughs. "Thanks? For what?"

[golden_lyre]

"For letting me keep you," Orpheus says with a faint smile.

"I'm yours," Steve reminds him gently. "It's only fair."

"And I'm yours," Orpheus offers in return.

Steve kisses him sweetly and rests their foreheads together.

After a moment or two he says, "If I gave you something--a 'token of my affections' kind of thing--would you wear it?"

Orpheus smiles. "Yes, of course."

"Then I am going to find you something." He flicks the tip of Orpheus's nose. "Even if it's an officially licensed Avengers... thing."

He laughs. "Captain America boxer or something?"

[thekidfrombrooklyn]

"If you want," Steve says, "or I was thinking something more daily. Particularly since you don't wear underwear."

[golden_lyre]

"Yeah, they probably wouldn't see much use," Orpheus agrees, resting a hand over Steve's heart. "Whatever it is, I'll cherish it."

Steve puts his hand on top of Orpheus's. "I'm an action figure. Just warning you."

[golden_lyre]

He shrugs, smiling. "My face is on t-shirts."

"No! Really? People get tattoos of my shield."

[golden_lyre]

Orpheus laughs, and then smiles a little thoughtfully.

"People play your song at weddings..."

[thekidfrombrooklyn]

Steve's eyes grow soft and he says, "I think that's beautiful."

[golden_lyre]

Orpheus touches his face, stroking along his temple and cheek. "It's very popular this year," he murmurs. "I suppose that's something."

"Something to be proud of, I hope."

[golden_lyre]

"I don't know that proud is the right word, but I'm not displeased by it."

He considers a moment. "I...hope it's a good foundation."

Steve leans his head on his hand. "For what?"

[golden_lyre]

"For their lives together. It's important."

[thekidfrombrooklyn]

"I think it's a great foundation for a life together, honey," Steve say softly and moves in for a kiss.
