OOM: Orpheus

Seems like it's going to be one of those nights--the kind of night when Steve can't get Orpheus alone with him fast enough, can't kiss him passionately enough, can't get his hands on enough of Orpheus's skin.

"I know exactly how I want you tonight," Steve says as he pushes Orpheus through the doorway.

Orpheus smiles against his lips. "I'm sure you're right, lovely."

Steve holds his face and kisses him deeper.

Orpheus groans softly, arms sliding around him.

"You wrote the most beautiful song about me," Steve whispers, kissing him. "I love that people feel it's for them, too."

[golden_lyre]

"I only wrote what I feel," Orpheus murmurs. "That's what people are responding to."

Steve smiles, his hands stroking Orpheus's sides. "You loved me even then."

[golden_lyre]

"I think I must have."

Steve's smile deepens and he kisses Orpheus again, longer and sweeter.

Orpheus easily returns the kiss, fingers stroking over Steve's skin.

"What do you want, honey?" Steve whispers, looking into Orpheus's eyes. "What can I do for you tonight?"

Orpheus shakes his head, smiling. "Just this, my love. I don't want anything more."

"Just this?" He kisses Orpheus gently. "Just kissing and cuddling and whatever else it is that we're doing?"

[golden_lyre]

"Yes," Orpheus murmurs. "Just this."

Steve brushes their noses together. "Well, you are easy to please tonight."

[golden_lyre]

Orpheus smiles, his hand settling at the small of Steve's back. "I do try sometimes."

"Well, gosh, I don't know what to do now," Steve says, leaning his head on his hand. "I feel like I should do something extra-special, just because you don't want anything."

[golden_lyre]

Orpheus laughs. "Sometimes it is best to simply be, my love."

"Simply be," Steve says, tucking his head against Orpheus's neck. "I can do that. Easy."

[golden_lyre]

"For you, I'm not sure it is," Orpheus murmurs, rubbing his cheek against Steve's hair. "But I appreciate the effort all the more for that."

"I like cuddling," Steve protests. "I cuddle you all the time."

[golden_lyre]

"You do, and you're very good at it," Orpheus agrees. "I only meant that you are not the sort of man who can be content to do nothing."

"I suppose not," Steve murmurs.

[golden_lyre]

Orpheus noses along his hairline. "It's all right. I like that you are so active."

Steve grazes his lips along Orpheus's neck. "I don't want to paw at you when you're not in the mood for it."

[golden_lyre]

Orpheus lets out a slow, content breath.

"I can usually be put in the mood for it."
