OOM: Orpheus

Steve puts down his cup so he can hang his jacket, grab some towels and take off his damp clothes.

"Sorry about that, down by the lake," he says again. "I've spent enough time in the woods lately that they shouldn't seem strange to me."

"What?" and then, "Oh, dear," when he sees the sink. "Well, I don't think I broke the pipes."

He laughs quietly and presses back against Orpheus.

Orpheus kisses his shoulder. "Maybe we should get an upgrade..."

"Or just somebody in to fix it."

He closes his eyes with a sigh.

[golden_lyre]

"I was thinking more so that we could do this again without breaking anything," Orpheus murmurs, nuzzling behind his ear.

Steve chuckles. "Oh, that makes sense."

"I do have a few good ideas on occasion." He laughs softly, pulling back a bit, groaning softly.

Steve watches Orpheus's reflection, a tender look in his eyes, and then says, "So back to bed, then?"

"Hm, yes. After we clean up."

Steve picks up the washcloth again, smirking.

Orpheus grins and kisses him.

Steve kisses him back, smiling. "Can't help it," he murmurs, eye flicking to Orpheus's mouth. "I always want to touch you."

Orpheus chuckles. "I'm not complaining."

Steve smiles and washes himself quickly, keeping an eye on the pipes for leaks.

Orpheus lazily kisses over Steve's shoulders.

"Clean yourself up, boyo," Steve admonishes him softly. "I want to get back into bed."

"You're hogging the cloth," Orpheus says, taking it from him, to wash himself.

"There are others," Steve says and gives Orpheus another kiss before heading back to the bedroom.

"Why make more work for housekeeping?" Orpheus calls after him, cleaning himself quickly.

"Is there even housekeeping?" Steve ponders as he pulls on a pair of sweats. "I've never seen anything like a porter or a maid."

[golden_lyre]

"Well, I haven't been doing my own laundry," Orpheus points out, crawling into bed when he heads back into the room.

"True." Steve crawls in beside him and pulls the bedding over them. "I figured it was magic, like the Bar herself."

[golden_lyre]

"Could be, I guess," Orpheus says, wrapping his arms around Steve.

Steve presses his mouth to Orpheus's hair. "But I'll try to keep them in mind anyway," he murmurs sleepily.

[golden_lyre]

"So thoughtful," Orpheus whispers, curling himself completely around Steve.

[thekidfrombrooklyn]

"I try." He untangles his arm enough to turn out the light, and then curls into Orpheus's warmth. "Good night, love."
