Howard stifles a smile. Mavis tries to be polite. She's used to Americans by now. "Please, it's Mavis. I get enough of 'Miss Gregg' at the Ministry."
"She's in the War Department's typing pool," Howard adds. "Tried to get her moved our to SSR but they wouldn't budge."
